WHY IS GET-IN-TO-DATA GREAT FOR OUR RETURNING Parents and Care givers
Get into Data is my passion project, I founded it due to my own experiences as a returning mother to the data industry. I asked myself:
“Why is it so hard to take a career break and return back to a role, as the same level I was?”
This didn’t feel fair. I also thought,
“what does it mean for gender diversity in an already very poorly represented tech industry?”
Initially, mums, dads, caregivers take this break by choice for families and
later they are left with no choice.
What if there was another way?
The world we know is changing, incredibly fast. Data is the future. Jobs as early as next year will not look anything like jobs today.
Can you imagine what this means to an individual returning to work, their skills become obsolete and people go from being in middle management to a lower position though no fault but time.
Massive skills gap equals massive opportunities for Parents and Care Givers (to name a few).
